'BACKSTAGE Xmas' , a work that challenges the fantasy of Christmas

The Armonía Cultural Foundation presents “BACKSTAGE Xmas” The Musical , a Christmas adaptation of WA Mozart’s famous work “The Theatrical Impresario”, told in musical form by maestro Charlie Calvache.

At Christmas, the sky shines brightly and goodness flourishes everywhere, music resonates with bells that ring endlessly, and lights twinkle as they walk. But what lies behind all this magical, splendid, and loving world? This is what Oliver James, the play's protagonist, must find out. He has the difficult task of organizing the Christmas season, a job requested by Santa Claus himself.

The musical production will take place in the Quito Chamber of Commerce Auditorium with a 50% capacity, respecting the current health protocol established by the National Council of Music (COE).

There will be two official performances, on Wednesday, December 22 and Thursday, December 23 at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets, priced at $20 per person, can be purchased on the BuenPlan website and at the theater box office on the day of the event.

Additionally, presenting the ticket will give you access to a Christmas showroom featuring a Santa Claus for photo opportunities, food sales, and surprises from the sponsors.

'BACKSTAGE Xmas' is organized with the support of the Quito Chamber of Commerce, Tuenti, among others. It seeks to rekindle the public's love of theater and revive the "Voces Enarmonía" project after the pandemic, which forced the performing arts to cease in-person activities.
